RECYCLING AT TRANS-JORDAN

Recycling Drop Off

Residential customers will be able to drop off the following recycling materials at Trans-Jordan free of charge provided recyclable material is clean, sorted by the customer into the appropriate bins, and cardboard is broken down.

Recyclable materials that do not meet the requirements above will be considered trash and charged accordingly.

  • All metals – including radiators
  • White Goods (washers, dryers, hot water heaters)
  • Fridges and Freezers will be charged and additional fee for freon removal

    All food must be removed from Fridges and Freezers by the customer

  • Plastic Bottles and Jugs with Necks
  • Steel Cans
  • Cardboard (does not include packing materials)
    *Cardboard must be broken down by customer

  • Aluminum cans
  • Paperboard
  • Mixed Paper
  • Copper
  • Brass
  • Glass bottles & jars (clear, brown, and green glass accepted. All colors in one bin)

     

Electronic Recycling

Trans-Jordan Landfill accepts E-Waste (Electronic Waste) for recycling from residential customers free of charge.

Customers using the Trans-Jordan Transfer Station will drop their E-Waste off at the SLCoHD HHW Facility (prior to Transfer Station Scalehouse), also free of charge to residents.

The following items are covered under the E-Waste definition:

  • Computers
  • Laptops
  • CRT Monitors
  • Flat Panel TVs / Monitors (under 65″)
  • Circuit Boards
