Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) is anything in or around your home that is poisonous, flammable, corrosive, or toxic.
- Yard care chemical
- Many cleaning supplies
- Cooking oil
- Automotive fluids and products
- Fluorescent light bulbs
- Devices that contain mercury
Items not accepted:
- Radioactive Materials
- Explosives (such as ammunition or fireworks)
Contact your local fire department to dispose of such items.
It is dangerous to dispose of these items in your garbage can or down sewers, and it is illegal to abandon them or pour them in gutters, storm drains, or waterways . Storing or disposing of these items improperly poisons our land, air, and water and may result in both civil and criminal penalties.
Residential materials can be dropped off at Trans-Jordan Landfill, free of charge, Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The HHW Facility will service residential and CESQG (Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator) waste only.
