What CAN be recycled in the curbside container?

Currently the following member cities (Draper, Midvale, Murray, South Jordan, and West Jordan) have opted to stick with the “BIG 3”.

Paper can still be recycled but collecting it in a single stream / curbside program causes “contamination” and makes it difficult to find viable markets who will take the material.

If you would like to recycle paper, you can drop off the material for free at one of the following locations. Paper Recycling Drop Off Locations in Trans-Jordan Member Cities

The top contaminants that CANNOT be recycled in your curbside container include:

  • Motor Oil Containers
  • Electronics
  • Food Waste
  • Clothing/Shoes
  • Mercury Containing Objects
